Ontario Bee Rescue is dedicated to saving the honeybees and the humane removal and relocation of honey bee swarms and established honeybee colonies within Ontario Canada. A registered bee keeper will contact you for removal of swarms or honeybee colonies from homes, sheds, decks, and other man-made structures. We also collect swarms of honeybees from tree branches, fences, vehicles etc. The collected honeybees will then be relocated to an established licensed apiary where they are able to thrive as beneficial pollinators to the local environment.
Our Goals Are:
1.To provide a humane manner in which to remove honeybee hives from structures.
2. Relocate the rescued honeybees to more suitable locations.
3. To remain as a non-profit organization with no fees.
Ontario Bee Rescue provides it's services to fulfill the need for humane honeybee rescue in Ontario. If you need more information or are concerned about bees in your area please Contact Us. Our NEW Website is up now here! Ontario Bee Rescue
Swarming is an instinctive part of the annual life cycle of a honeybee colony. It provides a mechanism for the colony to reproduce itself. Bees in a swarm are generally docile and not inclined to sting or attack, and they will usually leave within a few days on their own for a more permanent location. DO NOT ATTEMPT TO REMOVE THE BEES YOURSELF UNLESS YOU ARE AN EXPERIENCED BEEKEEPER!
If you are a Beek (beekeeper) and an OBA (Ontario Beekeeper Association) member with an Ontario Beekeeper ID, and wish to be on our swarm capture list please contact us. We will add you to our call list and make sure you get an opportunity to help in your area. Thank you. Contact Us Here
