Propolis or “bee glue” is produced by bees from Tree Sap and is one of nature’s best natural antibiotics. Propolis has been used in traditional medicines for thousands of years.
This product is not suitable for people sensitive to bees or bee products or with allergies to tree resin. Always consult a physician if you are unsure. Please do your homework before ingesting Bee Propolis; https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Propolis
Propolis can be applied topically or as a tincture. You can make a propolis tincture by mixing the propolis with vegetable glycerin (food grade) or clear grain alcohol – 75 proof or higher vodka, or Everclear.
(Do not use ethanol alcohol – it is poisonous!).
To take orally mix 5 drops of propolis tincture into a little bit of honey and swallow. Another very easy way to take it is to mix ground propolis in a smoothie or in honey. To grind propolis you can use a coffee grinder or a Magic Bullet Blender this is what we use. It’s easiest to grind it is when it is frozen, you should store it in the fridge or freezer.
Propolis also works great in the beeswax wraps. Some beeswax wrap recipes call for tree resin and bee propolis is a great alternative because it smells better and has antibacterial benefits.
