Beekeeping is a fascinating and rewarding hobby.
Beginner Beekeeping Classes – In the beginner class we cover basic bee anatomy, different types of beehives, the different types of equipment available, tools you will need and where you can get it, all the basic information you should know before you start your adventure into keeping bees
Intermediate Beekeeping – You must have basic knowledge of beekeeping to attend. Must have a veil, smoker, hive tool and gloves. Veils, smokers, hive tools and gloves will be available to buy onsite if you don’t have them yet. We will be doing full inspections, splits and nuc installs. No on under the age of 16 and please do not wear sandals…yes that really happened.
Join Meadowlily Farm and Ontario Bee Rescue Mon Nov 25th from 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm at the Mistletoe Market hosted by St. Theresa Catholic School. At 108 Fairlane Avenue, London, ON. We will have some of our teaching hives there to educate about bees and their importance to the world. We'll also have lots of local unpasteurized raw honey, beeswax and "Bee in a Tree" ornaments.
